Making Shapes using Inkscape

For the last week or so in Mr Kerr's year 10 computing class we have been exploring with the program called 'Inkscape'. Inkscape is a program similar to Adobe Photoshop but instead we are dealing with a program that enables use to make svgs(Scalable Vector Graphics). From my past experiences with svgs... I noticed that i really hated making or doing anything with svgs. So... from that statement you think that I might've hated doing these so called 'tasks' dealing with svgs. BUT YOUR WRONG! hahaha I quite enjoy working with the program Inkscape because of it's easy interface making svgs. Its simple as abc =D. Well... not really since I need to explore the program more if I wanted to use its full potential. As I said the programs make it a lot more easier to create svgs than what I did in Control Tech typing all these weird html language.

Anyways back to topic I created these shapes using the shapes tool on Inkscape. =]
For my first example these are shapes that I created using the eclipse tool, by making segments and arcs by clicking and dragging the eclipses circular points. I made fill colours a little bit transparent to see other shapes underneath it. I also made a pie graph using a whole lot of segments of a circle.

For my next example of shapes, I created shapes using the rectangle tool. Firstly I made a cube using 3 rectangles and alternating with the shapes angles and rotation. I added a background to the rectangles for the fun of it. xD I made the oval like shape by holding Ctrl + Click and drag away or closer to make the curviness of the corners on the rectangle. To make the orb like image that I created I just made the corners curved then duplicating it and rotating each one by 45 degrees and the fill transparent.

For my last example, I create shapes using the spirals such as the rose. I Made these shapes by playing around with the inner and outer handles of the spiral. I fill in the spirals with colours to create those patterns. By holding alt + click drag made the spiral denser.

This comes to the end of my awesome display of pictures created in Inkscape by me ;D
